You used to be normal, but not anymore. Some of you may cower with the millions of eyes staring down at you in awe during the day through hard break proof glass, but after dark, it's even worse. You get a painful injection after everybody staring at you leaves. A red film covers your eyes, your head throbs, and then everything turns pixel-like and disintegrates from your vision. You wake up with a mask on your face and a stabbing pain in your side. People in blue robes and medical masks start scrambling and screaming all over, shouting, "IT'S AWAKE. INJECT IT AGAIN!" "Calm down, it can't feel anything!"
You wince at the words, because you can feel every incision and injection. You look around. There's a small glass window near the roof of the basement/medical room you're in. You wish you could get out into the wild, but you can't seem to find a way.
When the pain gets to be too much, you get dizzy and after a while, fade off into the unconscious place in your mind. If only you were out, but you were born and raised here. Here in this dreadful place. The experiment facility the public only thinks is a zoo for the most rare creatures. You need to find a way out for good.

The day was as cold as cold as it ever was. The wind battered the concrete walkway with hard rain. The walkway wound around cage after cage. Inside these cages were creatures that no body knew existed until they came to this zoo. All of the creatures were pressed against their bars, moaning with sorrow and pain, towards a central cage. Inside the cage was one of the creatures, lying motionless while the wind tugged at its fur and the rain battered its body. Suddenly many men wearing ponchos rushed out towards the cage and wrenched it open. Many of the creatures began screaming with anger, if not fear. Five men had to lift the beast due to it huge size. It took well over 30 minuets to drag the beast inside the "Cage House", as the creatures called it. Soon after the creature was brought in and the doors closed behind the men, smoke began pouring out of the top of the building. A terrible stench filled the air.
It was the end of the usual day, just as the last of the unknowing customers left the zoo. A commotion was ringing through the air as the most recent victim of the Unknown Myths Zoo was being brought in. A large mountain lion was giving the Furless's a hard time, though everyone else knew that it was hopeless for him to fight. Hiroaki looked around his cage. He had hated it since the first time he got into this mess because it was definitely not his taste in style. His type of experiment were supposed to live in the deserted desert villages, but he quite preferred rain forests. Just pictures of them made him thirst for it. But, it was inevitable anyways. It wasn't his fault he was born here and forced to be treated like some mutant. Not that he wasn't anyways.
But he always felt better when he saw Antoinette. She was the same type of experiment, so they sorta understood each other. She was kind and always helped him out. He didn't know why, but whenever he saw them intoxicate her, he'd go into fits of anger. Hiroaki's face burned as he thought of Antoinette, but suddenly, he heard a commotion outside his cave. He started to walk over to his window, but an intoxicating dart struck him in his hip, and he faded off into nothingness.

Shamlu snarled at the sound of the Furless dragging in two creatures through the double swinging doors of the experimenting room. One of the creatures were new, but the other was a regular, coming in for a weekly check-up to make sure his body didn't reject the experiment. Many of the creatures died that way, such as the one that died 2 months ago. He himself had been experimented on, but his body hadn't rejected anything. Yet. Shamlu had heard that the Rejection Phase was violent and painful, at least from the ones who witnessed it. The Furless simply took the dead bodies and burned them.
Shamlu snorted, scolding himself for even thinking about the weak creatures outside. He was much stronger than them, so why should he worry about the Rejection? Suddenly the door to his cage banged open. A hand wrapped in thick leather reached in to take hold of him but he bit back. In return he was hit upside the head and dragged out. He growled viciously at the Furless handling him. He could overpower the man if there weren't ten others working with him. Shamlu was over half the size of an average human and his muscles were far greater than an average dog.
Shamlu was thrown outside and his patrol began. He walked stiffly between the cages, peering into them as he passed by, making sure the creatures inside weren't trying to escape. Many creatures were mutated beyond recognition of what they were before. What could have been a horse looked like a giant lizard with claws protruding from hooves, with wingspans nearly twenty feet long. Dogs with four eyes and over grown fangs looked back at him sadly, their fur replaced by rocky looking growths. Shamlu snorted in disgust.

Hiroaki woke up in his cage once more. It seemed like hours had passed but he knew check-ups only took a half hour to an hour and a half. His body was so tired though, and felt like his muscles were on fire. He looked on his back where it hurt the most, and noticed two large lumps on his shoulder blades. He let out a scream of alarm, but quieted in fear that the Furless would come.
"Soon, those lumps will become two beautiful wings in a few days time."
Hiroaki jumped at the beautiful voice. He looked around and saw Tiarianal looking at him.
"How do you know?" he asked her.

Tiarianal looked sadly at Hiroaki.
"There is one other like you in that cage," she answered. "You were inside the Cage House for five hours by the way."
Suddenly her ear's perked at the sound of paws padding toward their cages. She looked up and backed away from the side of her cage. A large dog was walking towards them.
"Shamlu." Tiaranal said under her breath.
